Ah, my dear, this Mutton Pickle (Mamsam Avakaya) is a true delicacy from the old Andhra kitchens! Tender pieces of mutton are cooked and marinated with a fiery blend of red chilli powder, mustard seeds, garlic, and gingelly oil — rich, spicy, and full of deep, homely flavor.

In the old days, we made it with great care for festivals and special guests — the aroma of roasted spices and simmering mutton filling the whole courtyard.
