Aho, my dear, this Gongura Pickle is the pride of Andhra kitchens — full of tang, spice, and tradition! Made with fresh gongura (sorrel leaves), red chillies, garlic, mustard seeds, and gingelly oil, it’s that perfect mix of sour and spicy that wakes up the whole meal.
In the old days, we plucked gongura leaves from our backyard garden, washed and sun-dried them before pounding them in the rolu. The aroma would fill the air, and neighbors would know Chittamma was making her famous pickle! A spoonful with hot rice and ghee was pure heaven.
