Ayyayyo, my dear, this Fish Pickle (Chepa Avakaya) is a true coastal delight from our Andhra homes! Made with tender fish pieces, red chilli powder, mustard seeds, garlic, and gingelly oil, it’s spicy, tangy, and packed with bold, traditional flavor.

In the old days, we made it with the day’s fresh catch — cleaning and marinating the fish with care, then blending it with our special masala. The aroma of spices and gingelly oil would fill the air, making everyone’s mouth water! Just a spoonful with hot rice was enough to bring the seaside home.
